Parkland course at 735 ft above sea level. Views to Bristol Channel and S Wales. Driving range.
Set in an area of Somerset that benefits from fine views across the marvellous region's countryside, Fosseway Golf Club is home to a truly splendid course that will entice and tickle the fancy of keen golfers everywhere. The views to be had from most tees really are breathtaking and you will find yourself wishing you had your camera rather than clubs in your hands now and then. Not that preoccupation with the picturesque sights is a good thing, however, as the course is a real challenge no matter how experienced a golfer you are with stunning tree-lined fairways and tricky approaches to greens that are well guarded by a clutch of hazardous bunkers.
Enmore Park is a pleasant undulating parkland course set in open farmland/woodland on the lower slopes of the Quantocks. From the high points of the course there are extensive views to the nearby hills across the Bristol Channel to Wales and over the Somerset Levels to the Mendips. A brook with three small lakes crosses the course and is in play on five holes. Two loops of nine start and finish at the Clubhouse. At 6411 yards Par 71 for Men and 5718 yards Par 74 for Ladies it provides a good test of golf for the serious competitor and an enjoyable stroll for the casual golfer.
