Lacoste Pique polo shirt
The Lacoste pique polo shirt has become synonymous with golf and although originally designed for Tennis use, it is a permanent fixture on fairways all over the world. Sported by some of the games silkiest players such as Ballesteros and Olazabal and available in virtually every colour under the sun, the classic Lacoste polo shirt is a timeless must-have for every golfer and is sure to maintain it's presence on all major tours for years to come.

Lyle & Scott - Vintage polo shirt

From Lyle & Scott, a company that has held a presence in golf for over 130 years and just like the game itself, started out in Scotland. A true vintage addition to any golfing wardrobe, this classic shirt is an old favourite which has recently exploded onto the urban fashion scene with its frame-hugging fit. Recommended for the golfer who is looking to show off the fruits of his gym work, although if you're on first name terms at the local takeaway you may want to order a size up from usual!
RRP: £45.00
IntoTheRough rating: 5/5
Nike - No sew polo shirt

Nike's boundary pushing "Sphere dry technology" used in the "no sew" shirt utilises tri-dimensional fabric construction to help keep you dry and reduce perspiration - but not much else. Nike's affinity with Woods ensures that the "no sew" will be as popular as obesity in the grandstands of Oakland Hills. However if you're looking for a shirt that will maintain its class equally on both the fairway and in the clubhouse, go for a Lacoste or Lyle & Scott number, we believe they've stood the test of time and will continue to do so.
RRP: £45.00
IntoTheRough rating: 2/5
Hugo Boss - Pique polo shirt

An edgy golfing classic in the making, the Hugo Boss polo is as smooth as a Valderrama green and the cut is as crisp as a Harrington drive. No-nonsense German efficiency, a quality shirt possessing quality design without the pretence of being constructed from the best thing since sliced bread.
RRP: £50.00
IntoTheRough rating: 4/5
Adidas - Climacool mercerised polo

Adidas' answer to rival Nike's "no sew" polo shirt is the mercerised shirt from the Climacool golf range. The Climacool range, although initially developed for athletics use, has now come to enhance Adidas' golfing selection and is ideal attire for a Mediterranean golfing vaction. Featuring lightweight fabric engineering and extensive textile development, this shirt is a superior alternative to the "no sew" for the sports scientists amongst you, looking for an edge. Could possibly be construed as gimmicky and we feel it will age quickly
