Duns Golf Course voted 'the friendliest Course in the Border" three out of the last five years.
Duns Golf Club was founded in 1894 as a 9 hole course to the East of the town. The Course was moved in 1921 to it's present location and was laid out by A H Scott, a professional from Elie who was also Royal Clubmaker to King George V. In 1994 the 9 hole course was incorporated into an 18 hole course with land acquired from an adjacent farm. Dun Golf Course has bee described as 'A hidden gem in the Scottish Borders" The signature hole is the 15th. A short par three only 116 yards long. It has an elevated tee and two tiered green with burns in front and behind hence its name 'Double Trouble". The Wellrig burn runs through the course adding to the scenic beauty that surrounds.
Putton Mill Driving Range and Gym is just 2 miles from the course.
