As Turnberry is to Ayrshire and Gleneagles is to Perthshire, Castle Stuart has been conceived to be for the Highlands – a beacon reaching out to golfers throughout the world.
The centrepiece for this destination golf resort will be Castle Stuart Golf Links, a championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth and well-known landmarks that are synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle - Kessock bridge and Chanonry Lighthouse perhaps the most notable.
The resort will include a small luxury Hotel & Spa, 'resort-ownership' Lodges & Apartments, plus a second Seaside Course. Castle Stuart’s goal is to add to the rich fabric of golf in the Scottish Highlands - a fabric made rich by Royal Dornoch, Nairn, Brora and many other fine golf clubs.

1. WOW!
Had the pleasure to play Castle Stuart (nr Inverness) for the first time yesterday. Now that IS a golf course! In fact, the whole set up is magnificent, and really welcoming ... unlike the experience at many top British courses, which almost seem to be doing you a favour when you turn up!
I think it's only been open for just over 2 years, but you would never know it was that young. Breathtaking views over the Moray Firth really add to the experience. No members, just a pay as you play. Pricey at £90 for Scottish residents, and a good bit more for other visitors ... but worth every penny in my opinion. I'd recommend it to anyone.
I've been fortunate enough to play some cracking Scottish courses this season (all 3 at Gleneagles, Carnoustie, Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, The Dukes, The Carrick) ... BUT as an overall experience this beat any of them for me, and it will only get better.
