After years of playing once or twice a year, I have played almost weekly for the past 7-8 weeks and have now developed a pain in my forearm. Are there any exercises that can strengthen this or stretch it properly?

 

Answer:

It sounds like an overuse tendonitis related to your increased level of play. Anti-inflammatory medication may reduce your pain. However, proper rehabilitation with stretching and strengthening for the entire arm would be recommended. It would be beneficial for you to see a physical therapist and get evaluated to ensure the problem is properly addressed.
